Orville Heading to Disney+. At San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday, The Orville creator Seth MacFarlane announced that all three seasons of the series will be available to stream on Disney+ starting August 10. The series will also remain available to stream on Hulu. The third season of the fan-favorite series debuted on Hulu in June.
“I am happy to bring all three seasons Orville To Disney+, “MacFarlane said.” Presenting this show has been one of the most satisfying experiences of my career, and I am so grateful to Disney for the opportunity to expand the Orville community even further. I can’t wait for new fans to try out this series.”

“Adding a subtitle was actually Dana Walden’s idea,” MacFarlane previously said of the series getting a slightly different title for Hulu. Walden is the president of Disney’s general entertainment content. “And I think it was a really good idea. This is my Disney boss that I worked with and I’ve been friends with for a long time. That was her idea. And I thought it was kind of cool because it’s not a reboot, it’s a continuation, but it was enough to tell the audience that we’re expanding a little bit. And that The scope is bigger. The show is more ambitious. It will look like a movie. Maybe it will feel more special. And it also seemed fitting because it’s been a few years since we started streaming and we’ve moved on to Hulu and it’s 10 episodes instead of 13. I guess it’s not that much of a difference. It seems to be It was an idea that was brought up to me and I love it.”
Set 400 years in the future, the series follows the adventures of The Orville, a mid-level exploratory spacecraft. Its crew, both humans and aliens, encounter the wonders and dangers of outer space. In the new third season, the crew of the USS Orville continues their mission of exploration, navigating both the mysteries of the universe and the intricacies of their personal relationships.
The cast includes MacFarlane, Adrian Palecki, Benny Gerald Johnson, Scott Grimes, Peter McConne, J. Lee, Mark Jackson, Chad L. Coleman, Jessica Szohr, and Ann Winters.
Orville is streaming on Disney+ 10 August.
